The South Central Railway has issued a notification for the South Central Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2025-26, inviting applications for 2,801 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act of 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules of 1962 across various trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Welder, AC Mechanic, Carpenter, COPA, and Diesel Mechanic, among others. Candidates who have completed their 10th grade and possess an ITI certificate from the specified districts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh are eligible to apply online for SCR Act Apprentice 2025-26. Applications will be accepted from 12 March 2026 to 11 April 2026 via the RRC/SC page on scr.indianrailways.gov.in.

💵 Salary / Pay Scale
- During the apprenticeship, chosen candidates will receive a stipend at the specified rates in accordance with current guidelines.
🛠 Selection Process
- Selection Basis: Purely merit-based, calculated by averaging 10th class marks (minimum 50% aggregate) and ITI marks, with equal weightage.
- No Exam/Interview: No written test or viva-voce will be conducted.
- Tie-breaking: Preference given to older candidate; if age is the same, the one who passed Matriculation earlier is preferred.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates (education, ITI, caste, EWS, PwBD, ExSM, RDAT registration, medical fitness).
- Medical Fitness: Mandatory medical fitness certificate from a government-authorized doctor (Gazetted officer, not below Asst. Surgeon) in prescribed format at DV.
- Training & Stipend: Apprenticeship training as per Central Apprenticeship Council syllabus with stipend paid during training.
- No Job Guarantee: Apprenticeship is for training only; no assurance of permanent railway employment after completion.

Make sure you are from a qualified state or district and have the necessary 10th and ITI qualifications by carefully reading the comprehensive SCR Act Apprentice 2025-26 announcement.
Complete the registration process by choosing your state and district, uploading proof of address, entering a working phone number and email address, creating a password, and confirming the OTPs issued to your email and mobile device.
Enter your personal information (name, DOB, category, etc.) and technical and educational information (10th marks, ITI trade, ITI marks, RDAT registration number) after logging in as a registered candidate.
Only choose your preferred training units (Divisions, Workshops, and Sheds) for trades for which you are qualified; after you submit your choices, they cannot be altered.
